                                                                            May 5th, 2024 Updates Letter

Dear Flip’N on the Move Families,

It’s been a little while since we last connected, and we have so much to share! Over the past few months, we’ve celebrated some exciting wins, faced a significant loss, and made incredible strides toward our vision.

Firstly, we’ve expanded our class offerings with new Monday and Wednesday night sessions. Behind the scenes, we’ve been diligently working on developing our board of directors for our Non-Profit Sports Center. This transition marks a major milestone for us, and we are thrilled about the future.

On a more personal note, Mackenzie and I recently experienced the heartbreaking loss of my mother, her grandmother, to cancer. We apologize for any disruptions this may have caused and appreciate your understanding and support during this difficult time.

From June 26th to July 1st, Mackenzie and I attended the USA Gymnastics National Congress in Minneapolis, MN. We participated in numerous gymnastics, ninja, and business classes, gaining valuable knowledge and insights. We are eager to share these learnings with our fantastic team of instructors and, of course, with your children.

We’re also proud to announce that some of our members are leveling up! Report cards will be completed and distributed by July 26. If any parents would like a conference with the coaches to discuss their child’s progress, please let me know.

As we anticipate the excitement of the 2024 Olympics starting on July 26th, we want to foster that same excitement within our community. We are hosting a free family movie night on Friday, July 19th, from 6-8 PM, featuring “The Simone Biles Story.” Before the movie, we’ll have a fun arts activity where kids can create their own Olympic Gold Medals.

Additionally, we are in the process of organizing a fun swimming day at Regner Park beach, tentatively scheduled for a Saturday in August. We will share the final details soon.

As we transition from a private business to a vibrant non-profit sports center, there’s a lot to accomplish. We are looking for passionate individuals to join our non-profit board meetings. If you believe in our mission and can lend a hand with specific tasks, we warmly welcome your involvement.

Please also save the date for our next Kids Fun Night, also known as Parents’ Date Night, on Friday, August 30, 2024, from 6-8 PM. These nights are always filled with exciting arts and crafts projects. If you have any gently used art supplies from school that you no longer need, please consider donating them to our programs. The kids will greatly appreciate them!

As we continue this journey together, let’s encourage our children to make new friends and build a supportive community in every class. Our club is for everyone, and together, we are Washington County Strong.

We truly appreciate having your family as part of our center. Exciting things are on the horizon!

Sincerely,

Jack Anderson, Executive Director
